Our Bear Grylls Survival Academy has been a storming success throughout 2021 so far and we're happy to announce that the adventure continues for the rest of the year! Due to popular demand, we've added even more parks to the programme along the way - to find out which parks will be hosting the activity, head to the bottom of this page.
Bear Grylls Survival Academy gives kids the chance to explore the great outdoors through a series of activities that teaches them how to survive in the wild. The session content has been designed by Bear to ensure all priorities are delivered exactly how he would do it himself.
Please note charges apply for this activity.
You can now pre-book your activities online! To secure your first choice of activities, simply log into 'My Booking' up to 6 weeks prior to travel. Or head to reception once you arrive on park to book.
BGSA: Shipwrecked - New for 2021
You've become shipwrecked on a desert island after a terrible storm! All supplies have been washed ashore, including the map you need to navigate your way home.
To make matters worse, the map has been torn into 4 pieces by a lightning strike and is now scattered across the island. We need you to abandon your ship and find all parts of the map.
To do this, you'll need full training from Bear and his team. For every session you attend, you'll not only learn fantastic survival skills, but you'll take one step closer to finding all of the map pieces to get you home.
Fun for all the Family
In addition to our normal BGSA kids' activities, we've also introduced a brand new, hour long session that the whole family can enjoy - 'Lost!'
You and your family are on your summer holiday exploring an exotic island, but the tide has come in and you've lost your way back. Have you got what it takes to find your way back to the mainland? Work as a family unit to accomplish the tasks and if you make it, you'll earn a medal of honour!
From testing out your camouflage skills to building a fire and sending out smoke signals, you'll learn even more essential techniques for surviving out in the wild.
So, you're in a spot of trouble...
Well, you aren't the first and you sure won't be the last. Ok, first things first: relax. Take a deep breath, keep a clear head and get your priorities right. Think before you act.
The phrase I use to remind myself is:
Please Remember What's First: PROTECTION, RESCUE, WATER and FOOD.
These are the absolute basics you need to survive. And survival needs to become your number one goal.
The activity will cost £10 per session.
Each session will run for approximately 1 hour.
The activity is now available at the following holiday parks on selected dates:
- Camber Sands
- Lizard Point
- Cayton Bay
- Ty Mawr
Bear Grylls Survival Academy is suitable for children 8 years or older. Please note, you must be a guest staying on park to book and participate in the activities.
Bear Grylls won’t be on park or running the activities. However, his team of highly trained instructors have just what it takes to teach you practical skills that will allow you to survive in the wilderness like Bear.
