Planning your route is a fine art when touring - finding the right blend of natural beauty, comfort and things to keep the kids (and big kids!) entertained is no easy task. We’re here to help with a selection of varied touring routes that will help you to create some amazing memories.

Our Diamond Trail guide will take you through sunny Dorset and the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. As the route continues you’ll take the Ferry across to the Isle of Wight where you can enjoy its range of sandy beaches, cycling routes and the unspoiled natural beauty of the Diamond Isle.

The Diamond Trail

Start at our West Bay Holiday Park and the Jurassic Coast of Dorset where you can bask beneath the glowing sandstone cliffs, then glide across the sandy beaches before strolling into the scenic harbour that sits just by the park.

Moving east to our Sandford Park you can find another selection of beautiful beaches and stunning shorelines. Alternatively you could take a walk on the wilder side by exploring the woodland setting or simply enjoy the serene surroundings while you take in everything the park has to offer.

For the next stage of the journey you’ll be heading east to Lymington to take the ferry across to the Isle of Wight - remember to book in advance and save a fee by buying your tickets online! After docking in Yarmouth, head east to our Thorness Bay Park that sits on the northern shores of the Diamond Isle. The park has stunning sea views and you can enjoy the park’s own bay, or watch the ships sail by from the Boathouse Bar and Restaurant. If you’re curious to try Glamping you can even book out one of our 6-man super safari tents and enjoy camping in style for an evening or two.

From Thorness Bay you’ll head east to Nodes Point near Bembridge and enjoy the rock pools and cafés of St Helen’s beach, situated near the park - you can even take a horse ride from the park to reach the beach. The town of Bembridge itself has a lovely harbour and selection of fine restaurants if you feel like giving your taste-buds a treat.

Heading south will bring you to the seaside resort town of Shanklin and you have a choice of two parks situated on the outskirts of this vibrant town – Landguard and Lower Hyde. Both parks have a lovely countryside feel to them, indoor and outdoor pools and are a short drive away from the beach huts of Shanklin’s shore or the smooth sands of Sandown.

Cycling - The Isle of Wight is a great place to go cycling - take your bikes with you, discover some scenic trails and ride through miles of unspoiled countryside.

Festivals - The Isle of Wight is also host to a variety of annual festivals, including popular music festivals, cycling and food festivals.

Watersports - The Isle of Wight is a great place to take part in some exhilarating water-sports.
